Call for evacuation planning resources

AIDR is curating a national collection of resources to complement the Evacuation Planning Handbook and is seeking contributions from our communities of practice.

The collection of evacuation planning resources will focus on evacuation in the context of COVID-19 and evacuation planning to support people in evacuation centres who may experience greater vulnerability, including: people who are older, people, people with disability, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The collection will also include resources and guidance for issues such as: safe storage of medications in evacuation centres, infant feeding in evacuation centres, arrangements for assistance animals (usually dogs) in evacuation centres, planning for pets and livestock at evacuation centres.
